Android Developer

We’re looking for an Android developer to build high-quality native apps for connected-device products. You’ll work closely with iOS, backend, QA and design colleagues to deliver features that are reliable and performant, with clean code throughout.

• Design, build and maintain native Android apps in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Integrate apps with external devices over Bluetooth Low Energy and Wi-Fi.
• Turn UI/UX designs into polished, responsive, accessible screens.
• Integrate with REST APIs using a shared API contract (OpenAPI).
• Apply a modern app architecture (MVVM/MVI, clean architecture) and dependency injection.
• Write unit and UI tests, and take part in code reviews.
• Profile and fix performance, memory, battery and stability issues.
• Work in an agile team that uses CI/CD pipelines.

• 4–7 years of Android development, with strong Kotlin skills.
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and Android Jetpack components.
• Coroutines/Flow, Retrofit/OkHttp, Room or a similar local storage library.
• Experience with Hilt/Dagger or Koin.
• Background work and lifecycle: foreground services, WorkManager, Doze and battery constraints.
• Runtime permissions, including Bluetooth, location and nearby devices.
• Testing with JUnit, Espresso or Compose testing.
• Multi-module Gradle builds, Git, and a code-review workflow.

• Experience with smart glasses, wearables or AR devices.
• BLE: GATT services and characteristics, scanning, pairing, and reconnection handling.
• Wi-Fi Direct or local network communication with devices.
• Integrating third-party hardware or vendor SDKs.

• Media handling (camera, audio, image streaming).
• OAuth2/OpenID Connect authentication flows.
• Crash reporting and monitoring tools such as Sentry or Firebase Crashlytics.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools.

• Links to apps you’ve shipped (Play Store or GitHub).
• A short note on one device-integration or performance problem you solved.

• Greenfield product work with a modern native stack and connected hardware.
