What Is Data Pipeline?

A data pipeline is a series of automated steps that move data from one or more sources through processing stages to a final destination, such as a database, dashboard, or another application.

Stages of a typical pipeline

A pipeline usually includes ingestion (collecting raw data), processing (cleaning, transforming, validating), and delivery (loading into a warehouse or pushing via API/webhook).

Managed pipelines for web data

For continuously updated sources like e-commerce listings or job postings, a managed pipeline automates the full cycle — scheduled scraping, parsing, quality checks, and delivery — so the customer always receives fresh, ready-to-use data.
